#1: Elegant and Subtle Blonde Bob
An elegant and subtle blonde bob is a fantastic short style to wear your hair with ease. By incorporating accessories and embellishments, short hair can create stunning wedding styles. Additionally, this look also provides lovely wedding guest hairstyles for shorter hair!

#2 Elegant Subtle Twisted Braid
This elegantly twisted braid is one of the finest short hair wedding styles to wear. I adore this updo because it begins as simply twisting the sides at the front while allowing freedom and creativity in the back! Moreover, you can easily personalize it for each woman.
This look was created for above-the-shoulder-length hair and crafted to give the illusion of loose and stunning yet polished short hair. All you need are some bobby pins and a touch of hairspray to complete.

#3: Sleek Short Curls Accompanied by a Stunning Headpiece
Elevate bridal hairstyles with sleek short curls paired with a stunning headpiece. Curling and teasing your hair will provide maximum volume for achieving the ideal wedding look. Incorporating a braid or a glitzy jewelry headpiece will showcase your unique style on your special day. This is the short hair option every bride should explore!

#4: Half Up Bob to Neck Length
If your special day is approaching and your hair is on the shorter side, consider trying a half-up bob that reaches your neck. Alternatively, you might let your hair grow a bit longer before the event for extra styling options.

#5: Stunning Waves with a Dramatic Side Part
Look incredibly elegant on your wedding day with stunning waves featuring a dramatic side part. With modern Hollywood waves, you achieve big volume and height. Opt for a bold side bang that will instantly add volume and texture. Using a strong-hold hairspray ensures your short hairstyles for wedding celebrations last throughout the night.

#6: Charming Beachy Waves
This look embodies a charming, ethereal vibe with a hint of bohemian allure. I adore this look for its natural and feminine appeal. This style works well with various hair textures, densities, and lengths. It’s also an excellent choice for women with shorter hair who may not have enough length for a classic updo.
To maintain the curls with minimal effort while allowing for a lovely flow, section hair into two quadrants vertically to alternate the curl direction, then proceed section by section horizontally for individual curls. The hair on the left should be curled towards the left to ensure curls face outward from the face, and vice versa for the right side. After each curl, clasp the curl immediately after releasing it to allow your hair to set. This helps the new shape of your hair to cool down and secure in place. Avoid loosening the curls during this process – keep this for the end. It’s easier to relax a curl than to revisit it (redoing the curl increases hair damage and risks uneven styling). Towards the conclusion of styling, apply a strong hold spray to ensure that curls endure.

#7: Ideal Half Up Style for Thick Hair
If you have thick hair, the half-up style is a stunning choice for the wedding hair of your dreams. The half-up hairstyle offers the best of both worlds, with some hair up and some hair down. It’s ideal for women who enjoy wearing their hair down but also want some hair away from their face. Perfect for thick-haired gals seeking a relaxed style that will remain beautiful all day.

#8: Shoulder-Length Light Brown Hair with a Side Part
Allow your natural beauty to shine on your special day with short light brown hair styled with a side part. Complement and enhance your appearance with soft waves and a side part for a gentle, romantic vibe. Incorporate a headband or barrette for an added touch of elegance to complete your style.

#9: Elegant Updo with Decorative Pieces
When styling short hair, a chic updo with decorative pieces will look breathtaking on your special day. Add a jewelry headpiece to showcase your unique personality and personalize the style. Soft curls cascading down and framing your face provide your short bridesmaid hair with a delicate, feminine appeal.

#10: Graceful Soft Curls
For shorter hairstyles, graceful soft curls will enhance your special event. Frame your face elegantly with a side part that offers a gentle look. A sparkling headband or barrette introduces a hint of elegance and can secure shorter strands throughout the evening.

#11: Contemporary Chic Messy
This look is a contemporary chic messy (but elegant) wedding updo. I adore the texture and volume present in this bridal hairstyle. The waves on top provide the ideal volume with minimal backcombing. The pieces framing the face create that innocent yet flirty vibe, and the low bun is both classic and timeless for a wedding updo.
I suggest using a dry shampoo (whether on freshly washed or two-day unwashed hair) as it imparts the right texture and body necessary for this look. I also utilized a root lifter to elevate it a bit more. Be sure to apply a strong hold hairspray so you won’t need to worry about any pieces falling throughout the night. I feel this is one of those updos that any woman could rock on their wedding day. It’s so timeless and classic.

#12: Elegant Textured Low Updo
I adore this elegant textured low updo because my client didn’t realize she could sport an updo with her short haircut! The volume and texture provide a wonderful fullness and dimension that stands out beautifully with her blonde hair. It’s charming, playful, and sophisticated. Accessorize it with a hairpiece, or keep it relaxed with softer pieces framing your face! It can be styled with a part or smoothly swept back from your face.

#13: An Elegantly Brief Wedding Hairstyle
Ultra-short wedding hairstyles can be beautifully enhanced with a floral or jeweled hair accessory, as the styling possibilities are quite limited for this hair length. Keep in mind that as a bride, you won’t require much time to prep your pixie for the big celebration. All that’s needed is a curling iron to create some curl and volume, finishing with Hardhead Hairspray by Bedhead to ensure it stays perfect throughout the day.

#14: Chic and Timeless Short Hair for Weddings
Soft, elegant bridal hair remains a timeless choice for many brides. Opting for a simple yet breathtaking style on your wedding day is always a wonderful idea. Maintaining a sleek look allows both you and your dress to shine beautifully on your special day.

#15: Charming Bridal Hairdo
For any special event, a charming braided bridal hairdo is always fashionable. A boho braided style feels effortless and stylish. Braids also work on all different hair lengths and types, making them the ideal addition to women’s short hair styles for wedding occasions.

#16: Elegant French Twist Redefined
This style is an elegant reimagining of the French twist. My favorite aspect of this updo is the illusion it creates. The hair appears longer than it actually is, giving the overall look a more voluminous effect. What has aided me in assembling and securing any updo for short hair is establishing an anchor at the base of the updo first. It provides the stability needed for durability.
For products, I suggest using a shine spray or a lightweight styling treatment oil before you start to smooth and control flyaways while crafting the look. Additionally, I recommend a strong hairspray to ensure the final appearance stays in place. This updo is ideal for any finer hair texture. It features a more relaxed style and looks fuller with gentle curls rather than a traditional, tight French twist.

#17: Floral Crown for Short Wavy Locks
Look like a total boho queen with a charming and easy floral headpiece! This style is perfect for textured hair to embrace that chic beach babe aesthetic.

#18: Elegant and Effortless Loose Curls
For your special occasion, loose curls create an elegant, glamorous appearance and can be styled with a side or middle part, depending on your face shape. Ensure you allow your curls to cool before setting them, so they remain beautiful throughout the night. This is a lovely idea for short wedding hair on a bob.

#19: Elegant Textured Waves and Twists for Mother of the Bride
For memorable events like a wedding, it can be difficult to select the perfect hairstyle. Nevertheless, textured waves and twists may serve as a wonderful inspiration for the mother of the bride. The gentle beachy waves evoke a bohemian vibe, while the delicate twists contribute a hint of romance. A hairstyle with part of it up and the remainder down is perfect for special occasions.

#20: Elegant and Enduring Dark Brown Hair
Look stunning on your wedding day with elegant and enduring dark brown hair. Adding soft curls to short hair creates a sophisticated, classic appearance, while dark brown hair shines beautifully in the sunlight. Short bridesmaid hairstyles are even more appealing when you incorporate a sparkling barrette for a playful and feminine touch.

#21: Elegant Romantic Upstyle for a Wedding
The best part about this elegant upstyle is how versatile it can be. Depending on the accessories used, you can make this look suitable for anything from bohemian to black tie. My favorite thing about this style is that from just looking at it. You would never know how short her hair is! We took an above-the-shoulder blunt-cut bob and made it into a sophisticated, full-head updo.
The best advice for any lady looking to get an upstyle is to attend your appointment with clean, dry hair. Do not use a flat iron on your hair to ensure your curls stay as long as possible on your special day. If you know your hair has a hard time holding curls, blow dry your hair using products that will add texture to your hair and ensure a longer-lasting style. My go-to and all-time favorite product to prep my brides and special occasion upstyles is Shaping Foam from the Milkshake lifestyling line!

#22: Chic and Effortless Short Hairstyles
You can effortlessly sport short hairstyles for wedding events that appear beautiful and subtle. Incorporating soft curls or waves with a curling iron will make it look easy yet sophisticated. Add a playful element with an accessory like a beaded headband to provide a feminine flair.

#23: Elegant Side Braid for Mother of the Groom
If you need a chic hairstyle for a special occasion such as a wedding, consider an elegant side braid. This can be a great choice for your mother of the groom hairstyle. If your hair appears too short for an intricate hairstyle, incorporating a braid can add a distinctive flair. For special event hairstyles, you can choose from two styles of braids: a classic French braid or a Dutch braid.

#24: Charming Dutch Braid
This styling is one of my go-to favorites on short hair. It keeps the hair off your face without being tight or slicked back. Keeping your hair looser means there is an appearance of movement, which short hair always needs assistance with. If you have fine hair, I recommend giving it lots of texture with Davines This is a Sea Salt Spray, and This is a Dry Texturizer. I used a 3/4-inch Marcel iron to set the hair and combed it with my fingers. Some pieces needed to be strategically placed so they didn’t flip in funny directions and the silhouette could remain consistent.
Decide where you would like the part, braid until just past the ear, and secure with clear elastic and bobby pins underneath the longer layers behind your ear. This type of style is so adaptable to any face shape or hair type. You can accommodate any face by changing where the part lies for the braids.

#25: Bohemian Style with Braids and Gentle Curls
This style has a lovely bohemian vibe with its combination of short braids and curls loosely pinned up. Just a few curls are left out to add softness to the look. What I appreciate most about this style is how the braids appear when gently pulled. Loosening them like this gives the braids a thicker appearance and contributes to that bohemian aesthetic. I enjoy integrating braids into various styles because of their versatility and the way they enhance any look!
This style has been crafted with fine hair that naturally falls around shoulder/collarbone length. A look like this is ideally created on hair that was washed the day before rather than on the same day to ensure the braids and curls hold well. Dry shampoo can always keep the hair looking fresh if needed. Utilizing dry shampoo and volumizing spray or powder is beneficial in adding volume at the roots of your hair, so the style doesn’t appear flat. Positioning the bun to the side and leaving some shorter curls out enhances softness and frames your face beautifully. This is a stunning updo for short hair that is perfect for any special event. You could embellish it with pearl or diamond pins, and a veil could be easily secured for a wedding look.

#26: Elegant Layered Updo
Achieve a stunning appearance with an elegant layered updo. If your hair is short, there’s no need to worry. A curling iron and a bit of hairspray can create magic. Curl, spray, and tease for a beautifully voluminous updo. Accessorize with a bejeweled headpiece for a romantic and feminine flair.

#27: Simple & Graceful
This is a natural and graceful updo easily mastered by both experienced stylists and newcomers alike. It’s a surprisingly straightforward style that is perfect for weddings. It’s romantic, polished, and versatile because it can be made clean and classic or wispy and ethereal, based on preference and occasion.
This is an ideal style for a bride with short-length hair! The more highlighted or balayaged, the better because the color dimension plays a vital role in tricking the viewers’ eyes into believing the look is more intricate to achieve.

#28: Chic Minimalist Pixie Cut
A classic pixie for a bride with short hair is understated and elegant. I suggest adding a side fringe to frame your features, particularly for photos. Complement this charming pixie with a jeweled headband to add that special touch on your wedding day.

#29: Classic Sophistication with Blonde Undertones
This style embodies volume and sleekness, complete with a touch of classic sophistication, ideal for either a bridesmaid or a bride! The blonde tones beautifully enhance the look and offer further definition.
This hairstyle is designed for short hair, delivering significant drama without requiring an abundance of length. It styles best with slightly thicker, coarse hair that has been lightly straightened for that polished appearance. Ample teasing and product are essential to achieve the desired height and structure, along with a robust hairspray for lasting hold!

#30: Chic Side-Swept Short Hair
For a stunning bridal style, opt for chic side-swept short hair. Exude elegance with curls that are delicate and romantic. A bold side bang will enhance the volume of your wedding hairstyles. Incorporate a headpiece to radiate sparkle, too! The ideal hairstyle for your special day.

#31: Chic Extra Short Crop with Sideburns
Look stylish on your wedding day with a chic extra short crop featuring sideburns. Piece out the fringe and sideburns for a soft and feminine look perfect for your special occasion. Use a shaping wax and hairspray to maintain the style throughout the night as you celebrate.

#32: Elegant Half-Up Hairstyle
Charming wedding hair is the ideal choice for a bride with bob-length locks. I suggest a half-up hairstyle as it provides a more sophisticated look for your wedding day, incorporating all the twists and texture. Don’t forget to add a lovely crown that will make you feel like the gorgeous bride you truly are.

#33: Stunning Bridal Updo
This hairstyle is extremely textured, romantic, and enchanting. The best feature of this look is its movement. It’s soft and tousled, yet polished and not chaotic. This style is perfect for women with at least medium-density hair. The volume of your hair will enhance the fullness and make up for the shorter length.
This bride’s hair was a few inches above her neck/shoulder area, so I still had just the right amount of hair at the nape to curl with a small flat iron, which leads me to my top tip – mini flat irons! They are an excellent tool for creating curls and waves on very short hair wedding styles. I used Paul Mitchell’s mini flat iron!

#34: Elegant and Chic with a Braid
Short hair is also perfect for special events like weddings. One appealing style to think about is the half-updo, which provides height at the crown. For a delicate detail, incorporate a whimsical braid. Adding waves will enhance the overall appearance.
