From braids to buns, pixie cuts, bob cuts, curls, and layers, this year’s most popular and best little girls hairstyles and haircut photos will be the inspiration you need for your little girl’s next look.
#1: Textured Haircut with Bangs
Struggling to choose a hairstyle for your little girl? Opt for a short textured haircut with bangs if her hair is longer. A short length and short bang will help keep hair out of her face during school and playtime.
#2 Easy for Short Hair
This little three-strand pull-through braid makes the cutest hairstyles for everyday outfits. It only takes an easy 5 minutes to recreate this very charming short hairstyle for little girls.
#3 Stacked Bob Haircut
This look is a stacked bob. My favorite thing about it is that it’s easy to style and creates lots of volume. For girls with fine hair, it gives the illusion of thicker hair. It is one of the trendiest easy little girl hairstyles! If you are looking for haircuts for little girls, bobs are always an option for cuteness and ease of styling.
#4 Simple Three-Strand Braid for School Days
This three-strand braid is perfect for little girls with medium to long hair, offering a timeless and practical style for school days. The braid keeps hair neatly in place, reducing tangles and making it easy to manage throughout the day. Ideal for fine to medium hair types, this style is quick to create and maintain. However, it may not hold as well in very thick or curly hair without additional styling products. This classic braid is a versatile choice for any occasion.
#5 Cute Bantu Knots for African-American Girls
Teach your girl this early on to embrace her natural black hair with these adorable bantu knot twists! It surely doesn’t require much time and effort to recreate one of my favorite hairstyles for little girls!
#6: Bubble Braided Pigtails
Upgrade your pigtail style with this new twist suitable for little girls. Combine tight Dutch scalp braids with the trending bubble braid style. Scalp braids require some practice. Try to braid hair that isn’t freshly washed, as it holds better when it’s not so soft. When creating bubble braids, place ties a few inches apart. Then, pull the hair into a full shape and repeat this along the hair length.
#7: Cute Bob Cut for Natural Redheads
A cute bob cut is perfect for natural redheads. Bob cuts frame the face and shows off curls effortlessly. A bob cut is a fun and easy way to update your little one’s hairstyle while showcasing the beautiful red tones in her hair. Ask about the best style bob for your little girl’s hair texture to help keep it low maintenance and easy to style.
#8: Long Dark Brown Hair with Bangs and Pink Tones
Long dark brown hair with bangs can instantly transform from a simple style to fresh and exciting by adding pink tones. This style is perfect for girls who want to add a pop of color to their hair without going too bold. The dark hair with bangs provides a chic base, while the pink tones add drama. To maintain the color, ask for a color-preserving shampoo and conditioner to take home.
#9: The Cutest Bob Cut with a Middle Part
If your daughter wants her hair cut shorter, talk about her outlook before getting to the salon. Talk to your stylist about whether her hair can still be tied up or if it can be plaited. These are all things I go over as children don’t understand how their hair will be once cut shorter. Keep it simple if you are going for a cut above the shoulder. Ask for a one-length bob, as it will be easier to maintain. Ask for lots of layers and keep the look age-appropriate.
#10: Beautiful Long Wavy Hair with an Off-Center Part
Beautiful long wavy hair with an off-center part exudes natural elegance. The soft waves add movement and texture to the cascading locks. While the off-center part creates a flattering asymmetry that frames the face. Use a 1-1/4 inch curling iron to style and comb out with your fingers after. You may want to add a light-hold hairspray after to achieve an all-day hold.
#11: Sweet Middle-Part Bob with No Bangs
A middle-part bob with no bangs is a sleek hairstyle that showcases the jawline. The middle part adds symmetry to the look, and the bob length creates a versatile appearance. I suggest this cut to anyone looking for a low-maintenance and stylish cut. It’s a popular choice for those seeking a chic and modern haircut.
#12: French Bob
The French bob is a chic and timeless option for girls looking to go short. This classic cut is a shorter bob with blunt ends, often featuring face-framing bangs. Like her hair, this style works best for straight-to-wavy textures. It’s a great option for maintaining a cute and playful vibe.
#13: Straight Blunt Bob with Short Bangs and Undercut
If you are looking for a kid’s cut that is easy to manage at home, go for a straight blunt lob with short bangs. This super sharp crop can help keep your little one’s mane tangle-free and stylish.
#14: Protective Cornrows with Accessories
When it comes to your little girl’s hair, the number one style should be protective hairstyles. For example, protective cornrows with accessories. Cornrows are an excellent choice for their longevity and style options. Cornrows don’t require heat or continued product use. Natural hair can grow and become stronger with minimal manipulation.
#15: Long Layered Cut with Curtain Bangs
Try a long layered cut with curtain bangs for your little girl! To keep the layers fresh, use a light-hold hairspray and a flat brush to brush out her bangs daily. For extra volume and dimension, use a 1-inch curling iron to curl just the ends of the bottom layer of her hair. Hairstyles for little girls don’t always have to include kiddie accessories. Your little girl will have a stylish and charming look that will last all day!
#16: Adorable Half Braids Half Afro Hairstyle
Of all the hairstyles for little girls, this half braids with ribbons and half afro hairstyle is one of the best. The braids are so artfully designed with colorful ribbons, and the afro is full of volume and texture. A style that rocks an afro is best for hair textures that are full and have a level 4 natural curl pattern. My best advice is to make sure you have a moisturizing product that is equipped to spray. This way, the afro won’t dry up and become tangled. Use a pick comb to move the curls in your desired direction gently. A light-holding spray will help to keep the hair in place.
#17: Extra Long Box Braids with Pink Ends and Ribbons
Bring the whimsy to her hair and ask for long box braids with pink ends! Not only is this style fun and youthful, but it’s also protective. Her hair is braided with kanekalon hair wrapped on curl rods and dipped in hot water to add beautiful curls on the ends. It can last up to eight weeks if well-maintained with regular moisturizing treatments. As a bonus, you don’t have to worry about styling each morning before school, as it will remain in place.
#18: Adorable Cornrows with Curls
For parents looking to embrace their little girl’s hair texture, I advise trying adorable cornrows with curls. This style offers a great way to celebrate their natural curl pattern and look cute. It works best for girls with long, curly hair and is perfect for those with low-active lifestyles. Ask for an experienced stylist who knows how to handle curly hair. They should create a style that fits the child’s face shape.
#19: Adorable Small Braids
With its adorable small braids, this style helps young girls look and feel their best. It’s also a great option for busy mornings: as long as you add some curl-defining cream and hairspray, the style will last all day. Plus, it’s flattering on any face shape or hair length. For an extra special touch, try adding colorful beads to the ends of the braids. They’ll make the hairstyle pop!
#20: Sweet Bow Bun
This cute bun hairstyle will surely remove boredom from your simple locks! It may appear complicated, but it only takes one elastic, a few minutes of your time, and creativity to recreate this amazing style.
#21: Double Braided Top
A double-braided top crown is perfect for girls with long hair. Not only will it keep their lengths out of their face, but it will also keep tangles at bay. When trying this style at home, remember to invest in a good hair gel. This will make the braiding process easier and sleeker.
#22: Dramatic Asymmetrical Bob Cut
When going for an asymmetric bob shape, remember you need to see a difference in length from one side to the other. That way, it shows the shape off. Work out the lengths with your stylist and think about if your hair will still be able to be tied back. A great idea for your daughter’s hair is to add a soft face-framing fringe area to keep the look young on little faces.
#23: Cutest Side Braids
I’ve found that the cutest side braids are a great way to keep your little girl’s hair out of her face. They’re also flattering and can be styled in many ways, making them perfect for any occasion. Spend time talking to your hair professional about this look and how to highlight it with accessories or styling products. For example, using texturizing spray or curling iron can help create volume and texture while keeping the braid neat.
#24: Chic Long Bob with a Middle Part
One of the easiest cuts for your daughter’s hair is the chic long bob with a middle part. This sharp and sweet hairstyle is easy to manage at home and long enough to pull back into a pony or braids.
#25: Super Cute Bob with Side-Swept Fringe
Be the cool girl in school with a super cute bob with a side-swept fringe. The length is perfect for easy everyday styling. The medium length paired with blunt ends gives the illusion of thicker hair. And that creates a more voluminous-looking style.
#26: Creative Heart Side-Braid
Anything can look beautiful on a little girl, but I’ve found that the creative heart side-braid is especially flattering. This style is perfect for special occasions and everyday wear alike. You only need simple tools and techniques to copy such unique hairstyles.
#27: Cute Short Twist Braids
Complement her face shape with cute short twist braids! I’ve found that these locks are flattering and make a great style for any occasion. To create this look, have your stylist divide the hair into two sections and begin braiding each side. Keep the twists tight, so they don’t unravel as you go along. Add small beads or accessories at each braid’s end for extra glamour. To eliminate frizziness and flyaways, use the oil recommended by your braider.
#28: Cute Senegalese Twists for Black Hair
It’s better to start them young by teaching them how to protect their natural hair most fashionably! These super manageable locks keep the hair intact while giving versatility in styling.
#29: Adorable High Ponytail
This is an easy high ponytail hairstyle for little girls with shoulder-length hair! Just brush up her soft straight hair and secure it with your girl’s fave ribbon or elastic, and she’s good to go!
#30: Low Bun Hairstyle
This look is quick, elegant, and classy. I love how it turned out. The cutest thing about it is the lace braid. I love how it stands out. It’s quick to do, and you could style it up to go to a wedding or style it down and wear it for school.
#31: Back to School Braided Ponytail
This is a 3-strand pull-through braid finished off with a little infinity braid and ponytail. My favorite part of this braided ponytail hairstyle is that because it uses so many elastics, it will stay in all day, making it the perfect style for any active girl with long hair! I use little to no products for styling my hair (if I do, I only use a little hair gel mixed with water). And I use a rattail comb to keep all the sections of the braid smooth and neat before adding the elastics.
#32: Fabulous Fishtail Braid for Long Hair
This is a French fishtail braid. I like the way it looks here with natural highlights. It takes quite a long time because of the small stitches, but it is all worth it! It holds very well and looks very intricate. I first made quite a tight braid and then worked up and down the braid to loosen the sides carefully, which created this loose and natural look.
#33: Heart Braid
This is a cute twist on your average hairstyle for long hair! Your little girl will look adorable with this super creative style any day of the year!
#34: Cute Burgundy Box Braids
Look stylish and cute with burgundy box braids. You can use box braids as a protective hairstyle that looks amazing while protecting your beautiful locks. You can add fun colors to spice up your locks and be the coolest girl in school.
#35: French Cornrows
If you’re a braid lover, try French cornrows. Cornrows are a protective hairstyle that can be worn in tons of ways. Easy braid hairstyles can keep your child’s hair healthy and neat. Cornrows are comfortable and practical for kids. Wash and detangle beforehand. This way, her hair can be prepared for a long-lasting style that will create healthier ends.
#36: Manageable Long Layers
These manageable long layers are perfect for young girls. She will feel confident, and styling will be easier for you. Adding a face-framing fringe will also ensure her hair is out of her face during school and playtime.
#37: Medium Face-Framing Layers
Medium face-framing layers are a stellar choice for kids with long locks. Not only will the gradual blend of length around the face flatter your child, but it will also make day-to-day styling easier for you at home!
#38: Long-Lasting Short Box Braids
Try a fun and functional style with long-lasting short box braids. Braids are easy and can be styled in many different ways. You can use different accessories and personalize your style. Be prepared to wash, detangle, and blow-dry hair before creating the perfect braids for your child.
#39: Cute Braided Hairstyle
A cute braided hairstyle is an easy way to change up your look. Braids get the hair off the face and styling out of the way for a few days. Try sleeping on a silk or satin pillowcase for less friction, which can help the braids last as long as possible.
#40: Medium to Long Hair with Choppy Bangs
Medium to long hair looks stunning with the addition of choppy bangs. Young girls will find that fringe can often make day-to-day styling easier. A healthy cut will take off a few inches and make hair easier to detangle.
#41: Box Braids for Little Black Girls
How awesome does this protective style look on this charming little girl? It takes the hair off her face and eyes. Box braids make your child look fashionable!
#42: 3 Strand Braid Waterfall
Create a princess hairstyle for your little darling using elegantly braided waves. It lets her let those soft locks down while getting her strands off her face.
#43: Special Occasion Half Updo
Add an exquisite touch to your little girl’s waves by bringing some of those locks into a gorgeous ‘do! This look is ideal for formal occasions and even a normal school day if you’re feeling inspired.
#44: Layered Cut for Thin Hair
Fun and beachy waves in this cool season are the easiest way to go for natural blondes! It takes off the length for ease but also keeps some for a stylish haircut for little girls.
#45: Simple Idea for Curly Hair
If your little girl loves wearing bows, try this fun and easy style, which is a perfect way to show off some of her pretties. I also love that it keeps her hair off their face so she can do all her favorite things, like drawing. It’s also a quick, messy throw-together look, which suits her spirited personality!
#46: Lace Braid
This look is a criss-cross lace braid, half-up hairstyle, with added bows for accent. This style can be easily recreated from shoulder-length to long hair. This style will take around 30 minutes to complete once you add the curls to the half-up ponytail. This style is perfect for all ages. The best part is how eye-catching it is with the criss-cross effect. I suggest allowing plenty of time to create the style. This style is very precise; if you hurry through, it will look sloppy.
#47: Hassle-Free Braid For Toddlers
This look is a classic with a twist. It’s the typical French braid, just amped up. There are so many ways you can use this hairstyle. You can keep it tight for a cute sporty look or make it loose with some curls for a soft feminine touch. You can use it on all hair types and clients, young and old. My best advice is to use the pancake technique, meaning when you’re done or as you are braiding, pull the braids out a bit, so it looks more full and thick. This brings the braid to a whole other level.
#48: Medium-Length Bob For Wavy Hair
This short hair is a long one-length bob. I didn’t layer it. However, I did texturize it to make it more cooperative for her daily styling. As for the style, she has very straight hair, so to achieve the wave, I used a 1″ flat iron at 380 degrees with vertical sections, then waved the hair with a flat iron curling technique. The cutest thing about this medium-length bob is its effortlessness of it.
#49: Long Layered Hair
This is a long layered cut. The long layers add volume, and hair becomes more flexible when styling. This makes holding curls or blending smoother and easier when straightened with a flat iron. It’s a good idea always to use a leave-in conditioner when you have an extra-long length. This will keep the hair hydrated and prevent it from breaking.
#50: Little Love
This style is perfect for anyone wanting to add a little “love” to their style. My favorite thing about this is its subtleness, softness, and simplicity. Curled hair worked well for us to make this style last through recesses and Valentine’s parties, but straight would also be beautiful. Secure a section of hair from each side with an elastic. Then take another section of hair from each side and weave it under the previously secured pieces and the new section, making a heart. Secure with another elastic and fan out the heart as needed for shape.
#51: Unicorn Ombre Hairstyle
This look is a unicorn ombre color. My favorite thing about this look is the transition from purple to pink. Plus, as the color fades, it will still look awesome! This is a high-maintenance look, so if you want to avoid keeping up with your color every four to five weeks, I will stick to coloring just underneath the hair. There are great shampoos now that have color (like Viral Shampoo), so when the color starts to fade, you can freshen it up at home.
#52: Manageable Angled Bob
This look is a classic bob with an angle in the front to keep it stylish and trendy. What I love about this look is how easy it is for her to style. Bob haircuts are great for little girls because they are cute and easy to style. A cut like this is great because she can blow dry and go or air dry if she has straight or wavy hair.
#53: Mid-Length to Long Layered Cut with a Soft Wavy Curl
This look is a mid-length to a long layered haircut with a soft, wavy curl. The best thing about it is it beautifully showcases her adorable little face!
#54: Waterfall Braid Pigtails
These are waterfall braid pigtails. Little girls love pigtails. If you get bored with them, try this one to make it more interesting. The kid wins, and Mom wins!
#55: Evening Pony Style
This is an evening pony style. My favorite part is the subtle braid that gives it an extra “something.” Use shine cream to define the curls while creating such hairstyles for girls, and finish it off with a strong hairspray to keep it in place.
#56: Cute Bob With Bangs
This haircut for girls is a classic bob with bangs. It’s perfect for little girls because it’s so versatile. You can add a nice clip, make two ponytails, or wear it down, and it will be stylish and easy to manage no matter what. Adding bangs to this cut makes it even cuter.
#57: Zig-Zag Dutch Braid
The style consists of a single zig-zag Dutch braid that is slightly structured to give a thicker, fuller look on the head. I love the uniqueness of the style and how it complements the model from the front and back simultaneously with a braid visible on the top, then flowing down the back of the neck and ending in a beautiful long braid over the shoulder.
#58: French Braid Updo
This look is the perfect updo for anyone, especially if you want your hair to stay in place all day. A French braid in the bang area helps keep the hair out of their face. On a hot summer day, this quick little bun updo always wins! If you have blonde hair, it looks the best with many highlights. Even if you like to have bangs, this look can be recreated by leaving the bangs out and French braiding directly behind the bangs.
